Dr. Lee graduated from Stanford University in 1992, where he was awarded the President’s Award for Academic Excellence and Phi Beta Kappa honors. He earned his medical degree and completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. After completing his Sports Medicine fellowship training with noted knee specialists Dr. Lonnie Paulos and Tom Rosenberg in Salt Lake City, Utah and renowned shoulder specialist Dr. Buddy Savoie in Jackson, Mississippi, he began practicing in Orange County in 2002. He has been honored multiple times as a Physician of Excellence by the Orange County Medical Association and has led the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at St. Joseph Hospital as section chair twice.

Dr. Lee also holds a Subspecialty Board Certification in Orthopedic Sports Medicine for diagnosis and treatment of knee, shoulder, and sports-related injuries. He specializes in arthroscopic and open surgery for knee and shoulder pathology such as meniscus and ligament injuries, osteochondral lesions, instability, labral and rotator cuff tears, and arthritis. He is well-versed in instrumented and robotic-assisted partial and total knee replacement. As an experienced teacher/ lecturer in musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided injections, Dr. Lee is also at the forefront of non-operative regenerative medicine interventions such as platelet rich plasma (PRP).

Since 2002, he has volunteered and covered the sports programs for Orange High School and Villa Park High School. Outside of work, Dr. Lee enjoys golf, food, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
